John Mayer is one of the legendary guitar hero musician player of this generation. John Mayer is a blue, country and rock artist. He start his career in 1998 and become successful in 2002 with the ‘Song Your Body is a Wonderland’. Later that he become the savior of guitar solo in this generation.
John Mayer live is always surprising since most of his playlist always unpredictable. He is also well known for improvising and live performance. I personally love most of his songs but I didn’t really know all of the set list since he release so many songs.
Before the day come I try to search for his set list and listen to all of the songs but the problem is he is playing almost every songs. So on that day I decide go and face the surprise. He start with the song ‘No such thing’ and ‘Why Georgia’ then switch to acoustic set such as ‘Your body is a wonderland’ and ‘Daughter’ after that comeback to rock and blue John Mayer we all love with all the hit like ‘Gravity’. After about 1 hour John took a brake for 15 mins and start again with ‘Slow Dancing In a Burning Room’ and end it with ‘Still Feel Like Your Man’ but we all know that it not over yet. Not without his latest song and after the crowd called John loud enough he get to the encore with fan favorite ‘New Light’ follow with the latest song ‘Guess I Just Feel Like It’. Saying goodbye to Bangkok and promise he will be back.
Overall the show was really good. The sound was really good , have to give the credit to John’s backup band and the sound engineer. With so many instruments somehow they made it all sounds so balance. The overall graph and mood for 3 hours show is incredibly perfect. No part too boring. John was great as always. Listening to 3 hours of his rock and blue guitar is the best feeling in the world. Only bad thing is there is no standing zone. It all seated for everyone but some people can’t just sit down and enjoy it without disturbing other person. word can not describe the awesomeness but number can 10/10. Thanks for reading as always.
